P/T Human Resources Administrator

Human Resources support to Chief Operating Officer, Youth Care Operations, General Administrative Support and Records Management regarding benefits, personnel records and procedural administration

  • Provide interpretation of general Organizational Policies and Procedures
  • Receive on-site applicants directly from Hiring Managers at Corporate Office, provide information regarding employment positions and assist with employment materials.
  • Answer general incoming calls as related to open positions and reference verification.
  • Update Social Media on positions available weekly.
  • Update www.sjrctexas.org website weekly.
  • Act as Notary Public for employees, volunteers and staff
  • Daily answer general Human Resources questions
  • Responsible for Pre-Employment/New Employee Packets for new/rehire employees
  • Responsible for obtaining Payroll Change Notices (PCN) from Hiring Managers and handing completed document to Controller to include misc. deductions on PCN form with back-up documentation, i.e. W-4, Direct Deposit, Child Support, Student Loans, Bankruptcy, etc.
  • Conduct and verify new employee orientations (On-Boarding)
  • As needed create or generate Human Resources reports, i.e. Eligibility Report and EE01
  • Conduct and verify Pre-employment items (fingerprints, drug tests, TB tests, background checks)
  • Perform intake meetings (pre-employment paperwork: W-4, I-9, etc)
  • Conduct and verify Off-Boarding process (employee separation)
  • Verify insurance benefits enrollments, cancellation and workers compensation claims
  • Weekly file, sort, maintain Personnel Records.
  • Records Management for Human Resources, following policy for records destruction, records storage and giving access to long term records
  • Be available as needed, for unannounced TDFPS licensing inspections
  • Send offer letters to prospective employees after approval from Chief Operating Officer
  • Other related duties as assigned


  • Use independent judgment in use and interpretation of information received and in contacting Executive Team with information deemed urgent or critical to the organization or with information deemed confidential, sensitive and privileged
  • File, photocopy and collate
  • As needed, answer incoming telephone calls, determine purpose of call and forward to appropriate staff
  • Other related duties as assigned
