Dear Friend of SJRC,
Over the past few years you have demonstrated support to our organization, either through donating your time, money or resources. That support has allowed us to be able to serve and help close to100 children every day! As you may have seen from many of our updates, 2016 was a significant year for SJRC, as we separated our Nevada ties in July, and decided to operate 100% locally. This has shown to be a success, as our organization has thrived over the past few months, and has allowed us to be able to help the children with amazing results. These results amounted to going far above just serving basic needs-we’ve had healthy births for our teen moms, teens have secured jobs and graduated high school -often being the first in the family to obtain that goal. Children have been “allowed” to enjoy being a child, as they played soccer, joined dance, and played instruments, and we have created “forever families,” and ended the cycle of abuse and neglect for 10 children through our adoption program.
Those are just some of the few amazing results that our programs have been able to see over the past year. While 70% of funding for our programs comes from the state, we still have the large task of raising 30% of funding in order for our organization to continue to serve these children. That is where we need your help; because you have been loyal in support of SJRC in the past, we are asking for you to consider helping us during 2017 as well. There is a saying that it takes a village to raise a child, and we cannot raise close to 100 children a day without your help.
Your help will not go unnoticed or without recognition. This year, we are beginning a new “benefits” program for our loyal donors. Along with the sincere appreciation for your thoughtful gift and the knowledge that you will help us to heal children in the community, we would be delighted to be able to extend to you the benefits of membership in the “Friend of SJRC” Benefactors Circle-allow me to tell you what they are:
We are so excited to be able to roll out this program, and even more excited to be able to invite you to join it. 2016 was certainly a journey for SJRC, but now, in 2017, we are asking for your help in allowing this journey, this journey of helping so many children of abuse and neglect, to grow. Please consider becoming a member of the “Friend of SJRC Benefactor Circle,” and providing hope for many abused, abandoned and neglected children that we care for.
